November 2025 … let it snow!
Good morning friends,
I’m writing to you from Crested Butte, Colorado, where I woke up to a fresh blanket of snow. Watching the snow fall has been a beautiful reminder to slow down. There’s something about quiet snow that invites us to pause, soften, and create space for new things to flow back into our lives. Often, it’s in the slowing down that life starts to make more sense, feel more productive, and become more fulfilling.
When we come back to our bodies, we reconnect with our own inner human experience, and that inner connection naturally expands outward to the people and world around us. As you read this, take a moment to notice your breath. Do you tend to lean your whole face into the screen and forget about the rest of your body? Before you shift anything, notice how your body feels right now, any tension, tightness, or holding. Then gently adjust yourself so you can feel the three-dimensional shape of your head and find your feet on the ground. See if the way you’re looking at the screen now changes anything in your neck, your breath, or even all the way down into your pelvis.
This holiday season, finding whatever connects you to the ground or the sky may help you stay calm and relaxed. You might find yourself breathing a little easier, a little slower, and feeling less swept up by the hustle. The more areas of your body you can reconnect with; your feet, your breath, the three-dimensional space of your whole body; the more supported and regulated your nervous system will feel.
If your body is asking for deeper support this season, I’m now weaving low-level laser therapy into my Rolfing sessions. The laser helps decrease pain, reduce inflammation, and increase cell regeneration. It softens stubborn areas and makes the hands-on work even more effective. From my own personal experience, I genuinely believe every person can benefit from this work, it’s been life changing for me.
Enjoy the snow,
Katie Franzmann
