Bye bye 2025!
Closing one Year, Opening the Next
As we roll into 2026, we enter what numerology calls a Universal Year One, a year of beginnings, momentum, and forward movement. In Chinese astrology, February 17, 2026 marks the return of the Fire Horse, an energetic combination long associated with independence, vitality, and decisive change.
It makes this an especially meaningful time to set intentions and decide what you want to move toward in the year ahead.
What I’ve been reading…
The Brain’s Way of Healing by Norman Doidge M.D., is deeply inspiring. The book explores people with long-term, “incurable” chronic pain, those who tried conventional western treatments without success, and how they found relief through modalities like light, sound, vibration, movement, and imagination.
It’s refreshing to read from an M.D. perspective who’s researched getting to the root cause, and truly helping their patients heal through neuroplasticity. This is another great reminder that we’re intelligent beings, capable of change when given the right support.
*Neuroplasticity: your brain’s amazing ability to change, adapt, and rewire itself throughout your entire life by forming new neural connections and pathways in response to experiences, learning, and injury. Meaning you have the power to heal your pain!
Movement I’ve been into:
Resistant bands, they are a powerful way to open joints, restore full range of motion, and strengthen tissues throughout that range. They’re a great complement to lifting, and if you don’t lift weights, band work is especially helpful for joint health and injury prevention.
Resistance bands offer a gentle, accessible way to build strength, improve stability, and reconnect with how your body moves. They’re especially useful if you’re new to strength training or returning after injury, supporting the nervous system through smooth, controlled movement rather than force.
Thank you for reading and for being here. It’s truly a joy to work with you, and I’m deeply grateful for this community.
Wishing you a healthy, vibrant, and prosperous New Year.
Warmly,
Katie Franzmann
